Juvenile Offender Programs

Juvenile Offender Programs

There are more than 2.2 million juvenile arrests each year.  If sent to a detention center, up to 70% of previously confined juvenile offenders are re-arrested less than two years after their release. The problem is real, the answer is SecureAlert. SecureAlert’s monitoring products and services, offers agencies the proactive and comprehensive approach to arm your agency with the necessary tools needed to monitor and rehabilitate the offenders under your care.

The TrackerPAL helps build a pattern of responsibility for our juveniles. It has become a meaningful deterrent for the juvenile while in the program and after the juvenile has been released.

Curfew and Truancy Monitoring
No longer are phone calls and personal visits the only way to ensure curfews and truancies are enforced.  Through offender specific protocols set by your agency, you can set inclusion (confined area) or exclusion zones (restricted area) as well as curfews. Inclusion zones can be used to confine the offender to their school, while exclusion zone can exclude the offender from known gang or drug locations etc.

Alternative Sentencing

Alternative sentencing programs are aimed at controlling and limiting offenders behavior while allowing juvenile offenders to attend school, maintain family relationships and avoid the stigma associated with detention facilities. Whether actively tracking or administering drug and alcohol testing, alternative sentencing programs from SecureAlert allow your agency to better monitor and rehabilitate the juvenile offenders under your care.

Domestic Abusers

Nearly two-thirds of violent crimes with juvenile victims occur in the home.  One in four violent crime victims are juveniles.  Whether the juvenile is the abuser or the victim, with the combination of SecureAlert’s active tracking and monitoring services, you are able to proactively enforce restrictions on abusers and warn their victims. Supervising officers have the ability to set inclusion or exclusion zones specific to the conditions of their court order. Monitoring Center agents follow offender specific protocols, which can include contacting the offender and their supervising officer, as well as notifying the victim.

Gang Members

Eight percent of 17-year-olds belong to a gang, 16% have sold drugs and another 16% have carried a handgun. Reduce and disrupt gang affiliation, with active tracking and monitoring from SecureAlert. Supervision officers can effectively create exclusion around known gang and drug locations.  Disrupt gang members’ interaction and affiliation by enforcing curfews, truancies, while augmenting rehabilitation with drug testing and alcohol monitoring.

Sexual Predators
When they committed their crimes, 6 out of 10 convicted sexual predators were under conditional supervision.  SecureAlert raises your awareness and helps your agency better manage, monitor and control sexual predators.  Depending on the conditions of their release, you can create exclusion zones, forbidden areas that can exclude predators from schools, parks etc.

Substance Abusers
More than half of all the seniors in high school have taken drugs – more have used alcohol.  With a wide variety of products and services, SecureAlert allows your agency to proactively enforce restrictions while reinforcing your rehabilitation initiatives. With active-tracking, you can exclude offenders from bars or known drug locations.  In addition the use of on-demand or continuous alcohol monitoring encourages and promotes compliance.
